Too hot for life.
| America is too hot. I have fled to another Country where the earth is more temperate. King's Island was so much fun!!! Even though it was 32 outside (90+) with high humidity and basically no wind, and I stuck to every ride and nearly died of heat and The Beast scratched me and my jeans felt like they were spray-painted on and my sister beat me in a PopStar competition and Starbucks' prices were even more outrageous and I drank luke-warm water all day long... Oh, right, as I was saying, I loved it!!! All of the rollercoasters were really fun. We went on The Beast, Son of Beast, Face-Off, The Italian Job, Sponge Bob, Tomb Raider, The Outer Limits, and the Vortex. There may be others... I don't remember. But everything had its own unique twist. I'd have to say the Vortex was my favourite, but Face-Off would be a close second cuz I got to watch Mary Joy's screaming face the entire time. In other news, Travis screams on rides probably more than anyone I know, which makes going on rides with him really really fun. Yesterday my flight was delayed and I got off my first flight at the time my second flight was supposed to be leaving. I prayed, "Please, God, don't let me miss that flight!" and he said I wouldn't miss it. I was tempted to disbelieve him, but decided that if he said I wouldn't miss it that I wouldn't. My second flight was also delayed. Everyone else was already seated when I ran to the other end of the terminal and boarded. God was soooo with me all day, keeping me calm and optimistic. The third flight was out of Calgary. I had plenty of time to clear customs, grab some Tim Horton's, read for a bit, and notice a guy walk by wearing a Roots Canada backpack. "Holy crap, I'm in Canada," I thought, as the boarding call was announced first in English, then in French. I could have cried when I heard the name "Saskatoon". I could have cried when I saw the flag. I could have cried when I first caught sight of the city lights from above. Did I say could have? Well, let's go with "probably did." Did I say probably? I meant I frickin' bawled. Maybe. My dad met me at the airport and brought me home (I knew the way home better than he did), where I greeted my mom and brother, and fought off the gigantic dog that was trying to jump up on me. I showed the fam my video from Travis, then hit the hay at 1:00 Central time, which was 3:00 to me. So, I am alive. I am home. I am missing my friends already. My house smells like Canada.
