Sick Day
It's pretty pathetic that it takes a sick day for me to finally sit down and write to you guys. MJ is gone all day with the phone, and my printer's not working; if I go downstairs I can't get back up because MJ has my keys. So all the things I should be doing are out, and you guys are in.
UPDATES:
FreakShow-- was very fun. People loved our Teen Girl costumes, and said I was the cutest The Ugly One ever. In attendance were: Thing 1 and 2, along with The Cat, Strong Sad, The Flintstone Family, Napoleon and Deb, Your Mom and Your Dad (not kidding), the Phantom (Scotty 2 Hottie looked awesome), my beautiful neighbour the Butterfly, Partly Cloudy With a Chance of Rain (blue shirt, blue pants, cotton balls, and a squirt-gun), the Chicken, the Egg, and a Question Mark, AND MANY MORE!!!
Praise & Worship-- I am leading for the first time on Monday. I have officially been given the job of being the organizer, getting people's info., putting them on teams, getting people together to practice, etc.
Youth Group-- The youth pastor of the church youth group I've been helping out with told me last week that he is thinking about giving me an intern position. It's been great getting to know the kids. We worked the Homecoming Football game this weekend, and it was really good experience. I learned how to load those nacho cheese machines, like the ones they have at 7-11. (Bob: "My nachos!!") Mmmmm... soggy with cheese, please.
I also went to the Opera this weekend, and it was so fantastic!! It was two one-act Operas by Puccini: Suor Angelica (drama), and Gianni Schicchi (comedy). They were both performed in Italian with subtitles. I've decided I could live my life going to the Opera every night and never tire.
I've been listening to a lot of jazz lately. It's weird-- I guess I just always naturally had my fill with dad practicing every day. I never thought that I would be burning to hear it. I also broke out the Christmas music today (Ella's Christmas). And it's still in the teens in temperature here. Can't shoot me til you see me! ;)
I don't think I'm going anywhere tonight. I'm thinking movie in the basement (which is now painted lime green).
That was kinda all over the map, and not nearly as funny and charming as I'm known to be. So here's a few topics, in review, that you can tell me all about in your life, as you respond:
*Costume Parties
*Singing activities
*Volunteer work/work
*Shows you've been to lately
*Christmas preparations!!
If you want, you can talk about Opera and Jazz, too. I won't mind.
AfflictedNess (I'm pretty sure I've already used sickNess and illNess).
